Meet the Artist: My Story, My Studio, and Why I Create from the Heart

🌸 From Candy Wrappers to Keepsakes: Why I Still Believe in Paper Love

When I was a little girl in São Paulo, I used to collect candy wrappers. Not the fancy ones — just the shiny, colorful pieces that felt too pretty to throw away. I’d flatten them, tuck them inside books, and stare at them like they were tiny treasures.

I didn’t know it then, but I was already practicing memory-keeping.

The First Thing I Remember Wanting to Keep

My dad passed away when I was 13. It was sudden. Too early. Way too painful.

I started holding onto everything that reminded me of him: notes, photographs, the scent of his cologne on a scarf. Even his handwriting felt sacred.

Maybe that’s when I started believing paper could hold something sacred too.

Something more than ink and fibers — something like love.

How I Found My Way to Scrapbooking (and to You)

At 18, I moved to the U.S. to study and stumbled into a scrapbooking store. I had no idea what it was. But the moment I walked in, it felt like coming home. It was storytelling with scissors and stickers. Emotions in layers and textures. Journaling with soul.

Years later, as a mother, my camera roll exploded. I photographed every blink. Every first. Every quiet nap. I couldn’t stop documenting. It wasn’t about perfection — it was about preserving wonder.

That same wonder now lives in the handcrafted books, albums, and gifts I create for women like you.

Why I Still Believe in Handmade Gifts (Even in 2025)

In a world that scrolls fast and shops faster, I still believe in slow art. In the kind of gift you hold and whisper, “She really thought of me.”

I don’t just sell scrapbooks. I help you pause for a moment. Reflect. Honour someone you love — including yourself.

Because no one needs another gift card.

But everyone needs to feel seen.
